Micronic Screw Caps for externally threaded tubes provide a secure closure for long-term sample storage at ultra-low temperatures and securely seal tubes during transportation. The caps are available in nine different colors: grey, yellow, orange, red, light green, blue, white, purple, and light blue for 96-format and grey, yellow, orange, red, light green, blue, and transparent for 48- and 24-format tubes.

In addition to the standard Screw Cap for Tubes with External Thread, NBS Scientific also offers the Screw Cap IG that has an improved gripping for both manually and automated handling, the newly designed lead-in on top of the screw cap ensures a better tube placement and the lower height makes storage (without rack cover) in automated stores more efficient.

Product features

Optimal seal quality

The screw caps for externally threaded tubes have a triple start thread for optimal sample storage. These screw caps are designed with a unique lock when sealed to prevent screw caps from being overtightened.

Tube Compatibility

The externally threaded screw caps are compatible with 96-well (0.30ml, 0.40ml, 0.75ml, 0.80ml and 1.40ml), 48-well (1.00ml, 2.00ml, 3.00ml and 4.00ml), and 24-well (1.50ml, 3.00ml, 3.50ml and 6.00ml) format tubes.

Automation friendly

The screw caps are designed specifically for automated processes, like screw cap recappers.

Resistance

The internally threaded screw caps resist chemical solvents. All caps are produced in a class 7 clean room and are RNase/DNase and Pyrogen free.

  • Available gamma irradiated, (15 kGy avg.) or EtO treated
